Unicorn App Privacy Policy

An overview

In the following we will inform you in addition to our general privacy policy about the processing of personal data when using our application (app).

In particular, we will inform you about the services of our contractual partners that are used in our app. We want to ensure that you know how the services implemented in our offer work and what happens to your data.

What data do we collect in the app?

When downloading the app, the necessary information is transferred to the respective app store, as is the case with other apps, in particular the user name, email address, customer number at the app store and the individual device identifier.

When using the app, the data is collected by our app provider spaceOS, including technical data such as your IP address, operating system and access time.

If you contact our support for help, we will process data in accordance with your request in Zendesk.

Since you use the app to gain access to rooms at Unicorn through smart door opening, your user data is processed by our smart coworking service provider Sensorberg every time you open the door.

What we use your data for

For the proper operation of the app and the guarantee of all functionalities. To fix technical problems or prevent attacks. To grant you access to the rooms and to assist you with questions and problems through our support.

Analysis tools and third-party tools

When you visit https://unicorn.spaceos.io, your usage behavior can be statistically evaluated. This is mainly done with so-called analysis programs. spaceOS only analyzes data in anonymized form, so that no conclusions can be drawn about your person. spaceOS can also use third-party providers if it is absolutely necessary to guarantee functionalities.

Data collection in the Unicorn App

App Stores

When downloading an app, the required information is transferred to the respective app store, in particular the user name, email address, customer number at the app store and the individual device ID. We have no influence on this data processing. The operator of the respective app store is responsible for this. We only process the data that is required to download the app to your device.

spaceOS

In order to be able to make our app available and all its various services and functionalities, we depend on the help of spaceOS (Space OS Limited, Ireland, at 21, Eyre Square, Galway // 18-19, College Green, Dublin). spaceOS developed the app for us and ensures that the functions can be provided.

Usage Data

spaceOS processes the following data in order to enable the usability of the functions provided and to guarantee the security and stability of the app:

  • IP address of the user
  • Date and time of the request
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status / HTTP status code
  • transmitted in each case.
  • Operating system of the user

Amount of dataspaceOS processes the data on the basis of a data processing agreement concluded with us. The legal basis for this is also the fulfillment of the contract by Unicorn, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Setup data

  • Your profile - The collected user name and position is used for clear identification in our app.
  • Your contact address in order to confirm the registration and to be able to communicate with you if necessary. These data are also required for login. The legal basis for this is the fulfillment of the contract by Unicorn, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. If you voluntarily upload a profile picture, we will also process this. The legal basis for this is your consent, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
  • Your company profile - the company data collected as well as the affiliation of individual users to a company are also used for identification in our app and to enable the booking of rooms and additional services. The legal basis for this is also the fulfillment of the contract by Unicorn, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
  • Your password, which you assigned yourself to use the app, is also required to log into the app. If you change your password, the new password also applies to the app. The legal basis for this is also the fulfillment of the contract by Unicorn, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

Google Calendar

You can connect your profile to your Google Calendar. The operator of the corresponding plug-in is Google LLC (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). When you visit this page, a connection to Google servers will be established. Google will be told which pages you are visiting.

The legal basis for the integration of Google Calendar and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Firebase

To be able to improve the stability and reliability of your apps, spaceOS relies on anonymized analysis and crash reports. To do this, you use “Firebase Crashlytics” and “Firebase Google Analytics”, services provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Google Building Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Push messages

You can register to receive so-called push messages. You will receive regular information about the app and other Unicorn offers via our push messages.

In order to register for the push messages, you have to confirm the query of your browser or device to receive the push messages. This process is documented and saved. This data is used on the one hand to send you the push messages and on the other hand as proof of your registration.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent and thus Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

You can revoke your consent to the storage and use of your personal data to receive our push messages at any time with effect for the future. You can easily deactivate push notifications under Account Settings > Notifications. Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Your data will therefore be stored for as long as the subscription for push messages is active.

Profiles in our app may contain links to other websites (especially social media) that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be redirected to that third party’s website. We strongly encourage you to read the privacy policies of all websites you visit.

We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites or services.

Zendesk

We use the Zendesk ticket system, a customer service from Zendesk Inc., 989 Market Street # 300, San Francisco, CA 94102, to process customer inquiries. Necessary data such as surname, first name, postal address, telephone number and email address are collected for this purpose collected via our website in order to be able to answer your information needs. We have concluded an data processing agreement with Zendesk. The legal basis for processing with Zendesk, provided you have given your consent, is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit a), if you have given your consent, otherwise lit. b, provided the processing of your request for a service from your contract with Unicorn or its preparation applies as well as lit.f., unless there is a contractual relationship, whereby our legitimate interest in this case is to answer your request.

Sensorberg

Sensorberg (Sensorberg GmbH, Mauerstraße 78-80, 10117 Berlin, Germany) is our partner in the field of Smart CoWorking. You can book rooms through our app and open doors to these rooms. Sensorberg helps us with that. To do this, Sensorberg manages your set up data such as your user and company profile. When you open a door, your profile is checked for authorization to open the door. This process is documented in the Sensorberg ServerLogs. For more information, please directly contact info@sensorberg.com. Sensorberg processes the data on the basis of a data processing agreement concluded with us. The legal basis for this is the fulfillment of the contract by Unicorn, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Deletion when uninstalling

When the app is uninstalled, some of our services are no longer available to you. For example, the possibility of access to your booked rooms can no longer be provided. You can resume use by installing the app again as long as you have not terminated your contract with Unicorn.

The data stored as part of the device registration will be deleted again if you cancel the connection with your device via the device management, uninstall the app or have your app account with Unicorn terminated.
